I was born and raised in the small farming community of Clinton Wisconsin. As a child my grandparents would take me to the Walworth County Fair to watch my cousins compete in the steer show. My grandmother would say watching me around the cattle she could see the love of cattle in my eyes. At the age of 12 I began showing with my best friend when his parents helped me purchase my first steer. From then on I could not be involved enough. I would stay active in the industry whether it was raising cattle, showing, clipping or as a 4-H beef leader.
In 2011 I moved to Macon MO where I raised Simmentals, club calves and commercial cattle. I also assisted at Lolli Bros Sale Barn where I worked closely with both producers and order buyers. The summer of 2016 I took a position with Bar QH Simmental as herdsmen where I managed 200 head of registered Simmental cattle. There we hosted the annual “Pride of the Prairie” production sale. The fall of 2019 is when I began my career as a livestock fieldman with Livestock Plus Inc.
My greatest accomplishment came at Iowa Beef Expo in 2021. I was there working ring and Brooke was clerking the Simmental sale for Dwyers. I somehow managed to convince Brooke to go to dinner with me. We have been together from that point on. Along with her came Brexton her then 3 year old son, now six, who has become my best friend.
For the last two years Brooke and I have been discussing alternate solutions to print media due to the ever changing digital advertising landscape. The closing of Livestock Plus Inc. was the catalyst that drove us to finally develop our idea which is now Stockyard Media. We look forward to offering the same level of service and commitment to our customers that I had when at LPI.
